  As I was recently planning funeral services for my father-in-law in the Jackson area, I called Lakewood to see if they could handle arrangements. My father-in-law was on hospice in the Atlanta area, near where my husband and I live. After one e-mail and two voice messages, no one from this facility ever returned my call. Since my father-in-law was a plot holder in the memorial park across the street, this facility would have been the most convenient for the service to be held.

  A nightmare of a place to bury one's loved ones. The cemetery "roads" are more like cow trails, unsuitable for most vehicles. Unsafe area of Jackson in which many violent crimes occur. I personally know of one lady who was carjacked while visiting a loved one's grave. No security at all. If you are trying to locate a grave, it's nearly impossible. Sections of the cemetery are marked by very difficult to see bird houses, many of which have fallen from their mounts.
